About this directory

What this is

Perth Legal Guide is an independent directory covering 163 lawyer businesses across Perth Metropolitan. It exists for people trying to work out which local firm to call, whether that’s for conveyancing, family law, a will, a workplace dispute, or something more urgent. Rather than asking you to read through dozens of scattered review pages, we pull together public business details and a synthesis of recent Google reviews so you can compare firms in one place, then decide who to contact.

We are also honest about the other half of what we do: we generate enquiries for local providers. When you ask to be matched with a lawyer, we pass your enquiry to providers relevant to your request, and we may receive a referral fee for that introduction. That commercial relationship is disclosed on the quote page, and it never touches how a firm is scored or ranked. Referral arrangements and rankings are kept on separate tracks, deliberately.

Where the data comes from

Every listing is built from public business information plus a summary of what recent Google reviewers are actually saying, patterns in service quality, responsiveness, communication, and outcomes. We do not copy or republish review text. If you want to read reviews in full, we link out to the source on Google so you can check the original for yourself.

How rankings work

Rankings are earned, not bought. Each firm is scored against a published rubric, set out in full on our /methodology/ page, using the data and review signals we collect. No listing can pay to move up the list, and sponsorship never changes an earned position.

A business that finds incorrect details on its own listing, a wrong phone number, an old address, outdated hours, can ask us to correct the facts. What it cannot do is edit its own score, sentiment summary, or ranking. Those come from our process only, applied the same way to every firm.

Sponsorship, clearly labelled

Some pages include sponsored placements. These are always marked “Sponsored,” always displayed separately from the earned rankings, and never blended into the ranked list itself. If you see a sponsored slot, you’re also seeing the independently earned ranking right alongside it, unchanged.

Who is behind it

Perth Legal Guide is published by Scout Local Media, an independent Australian publisher founded in 2026 that builds directories and local guides from published reviews and public business records. Editorial oversight of the rankings sits with Mei Nair, Lead Editor, who maintains the rubric and how it’s applied across listings. Data behind every profile is refreshed monthly, and each listing carries a “last verified” stamp so you can see it’s being actively maintained rather than left to go stale.

You can read more about the publisher at scoutlocalmedia.com.au, or reach the team directly at hello@scoutlocalmedia.com.au with corrections, questions, or feedback on how a listing reads.

FAQ

Can a lawyer pay to improve their ranking?
No. Rankings come from a published rubric applied to public data and review synthesis. Sponsorship is shown separately and never changes an earned ranking.
Do you publish the full text of Google reviews?
No. We summarise patterns from recent reviews and link out to Google so you can read the originals yourself.
Can a business fix wrong details on its own listing?
Yes, factual corrections like address, phone number or hours can be requested. Scores, sentiment summaries and rankings are set by our process and can't be edited by the business.
How often is the data updated?
The full directory is refreshed monthly, and each listing shows a last verified date so you can see when it was last checked.
What happens when I ask to be matched with a lawyer?
We pass your enquiry to providers relevant to your request and may earn a referral fee for that introduction. This is disclosed on the quote page and has no bearing on how firms are ranked.
